Christine (Chris) Smith is a former NSCA Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor who found her passion for massage through fitness training. Noticing how postural deviations and muscle imbalances could easily lead to instability and injury, she began massaging to help correct some of these issues so that clients could achieve greater results with their fitness goals.
Being able to help people achieve healthier, more active lifestyles free from pain and injury, Chris quickly switched her focus from Fitness training to Massage and has been practicing as a Full Time Licensed Professional Massage Therapist specializing in Therapeutic, Restorative Massage since 2013.
Chris graduated from the Texas Center for Massage Therapy in 2012 with 800+ hrs of massage training including Anatomy and Kinesiology, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Reflexology, Hydrotherapy, Sports, Trigger Point, Aromatherapy, and Structural Integration. Also as part of the program at TCMT was partial training in Cranial Sacral, Shiatsu, and Accupressure.
Continuing Education Massage Courses include Pre-Natal Massage, MyoFascial Release Technique, and Postural Assessments with corrective exercises and stretching.
As part of her continuing education as a fitness professional, Chris also studied with the OrthoKinetics Institute learning about Corrective Movement and incorporates this knowledge into her Massage practice.
