Chloe (she/her) is a nationally-certified massage therapist who firmly believes in the healing potential of bodywork and has an earnest desire to “lend a hand.” She fell in love with this work as a child, became a nerd for anatomy and kinesiology as a student for her degree and answered her calling 10 years ago. Chloe learned to appreciate the benefits of medical massage working alongside chiropractors and PTs, however, craniosacral therapy set the stage for her practice and heavily influenced the philosophy behind her approach to every kind of hands-on therapy:
- Respect for and trust in the nervous system’s self-correcting mechanism and the commitment to support that marvelous function with every contact, working deeply with elbows or superficially with fingertips.
- Listening closely to the client’s nervous system for guidance makes her myofascial work therapeutically effective for both “firm pressure” clients and clients battling conditions such as fibromyalgia. Chloe has experience working with an eclectically wide range of concerns such as TMJD (intra-oral, if indicated), plantar fasciitis, and stroke recovery. Chloe has yoga teacher training and can equip clients with stretching and exercise suggestions that align with their therapeutic goals.
Part of Chloe’s mission is to combat alexithymia (“numbness”) and enhance the mind-body connection by incorporating breathing and body awareness cues to empower clients in their therapeutic experience. She facilitates a safe space for clients to shed tension connected to stories from their past and to invite their bodies to join them in the safety of the present moment.
She is passionate about myofascial release therapy, hot stones, percussion therapy and full-body unwinding as mechanical means of addressing chronic tension, and craniosacral therapy, reflexology and polarity therapy for an energetic approach to freeing the body and boosting the nervous system. Clients may blend these modalities to tailor treatments to their needs, and most often report feeling as grounded and substantial as they do light and spacious getting off the table.
This work is Chloe’s honor and joy. Whether seeking to escape and relax, optimize recovery from injury/surgery, or manage chronic conditions, she is ready to follow your nervous system’s lead.
