“Can I use my HSA, Flex, or medical insurance?”
Soma Massage Therapy is not affiliated with any insurance provider and we do not do any medical coding or billing. However, we are listed as “medical massage”, which gives you the option of paying for your appointments using your HSA card or Flex account. (Check with your insurance provider to find out more about what your plan covers.)
We also have some clients who have successfully submitted forms to their insurance companies to apply for reimbursement payments. We can’t promise that your insurance company will do the same for you, but we encourage you to give them a call anyway and find out what the procedure might be.
We are happy to provide any documentation you might need to seek reimbursement: invoices, letterhead, and/or session notes. We do record notes for every appointment and can provide you with copies as needed.

About Our Massage Styles
Add aromatherapy to any massage for only $5.
We use high quality essential oils which not only smell good, but are good for you.
Essential oils have healing plant properties that, especially when combined with a massage, can enhance relaxation, support the immune system, encourage balance between mind, body, and spirit, and can boost the body’s natural ability to heal and regenerate tired or damaged tissues.
Chair massage is perfect for our "on-the-go" clients who just have a few minutes to pop in for some relief! Ease your upper body tension in just a few minutes!
Chair Massage is done fully clothed and is perfect for anyone on-the-go (and just doesn't have as much time as you'd like for self care that day), or for clients who might be curious about the benefits of massage (but don't want to commit to a full hour session quite yet).
Our skilled therapists will focus on your areas of concern in the time that they have, providing you with relief especially in your upper back, neck, shoulders, and forearms.
Make an appointment to pop in during your lunch break or in between meetings/errands!
Add cupping to your massage for only $10.
Massage cups are placed over tight areas of the body, gently suctioning the tense tissues up into the cups, which creates a bit of space between the bottom of the muscle and the top of the bones. This allows for more circulation and the drainage of lymph, as well as gently pulls on the tight fascia to release the tension in the area.
While the cups are placed over that area, your massage therapist is massaging another area of your body. When it’s time to release the cups a few minutes later, your therapist will then massage the area that was just released, to create even more relaxation and encourage the healing process.
Each therapist may offer a different style of cupping (fire cupping vs silicone cupping vs suction cupping), so if there is a particular method you prefer, please call us to book or use the search function on our website to find the therapist/style that's right for you.
We don't upcharge for deep tissue massage because we want to be versatile to meet your needs in the moment!
Our specialty! We don’t want to just rub lotion on you for an hour and kick you out the door a little bit greasier than when you arrived! Our therapists are competent, skilled, and comfortable with deep tissue massage.
Each therapist is going to have their own particular approach to deep tissue — some will do more trigger point work. Some will stretch you out more. Some will use their elbows, while others use their knuckles or forearms. No matter what, though, every therapist here is able to deliver a deep tissue massage, so you can wake up tomorrow knowing that some serious work was just done on those traps/glutes/hamstrings/neck of yours!
Please let your therapist know what level of pressure you prefer – if you need it lighter, we can certainly accommodate that too. Our priority is YOU!
Couples have the option of booking in the same room or separate rooms. To ensure availability of both therapists, we recommend calling us at 940-241-4490 to book this style.
What could be better than enjoying an hour or more, side by side with your sweetheart, enjoying a relaxing, rejuvenating massage together? Couples have the option to book their massage either in the same room, or in separate rooms. Soma is a welcoming and inclusive environment, and all couples are welcome here. #lovewins
Book your session for any length of time from 30 minutes up to 2 hours. Upgrades such as hot stones, cupping, etc may also available upon request.
If you are in your 1st trimester, please call to book your appointment since not all prenatal therapists are trained in 1st trimester prenatal massage and we want to keep you safe!
Numerous scientific studies have proven the benefits of prenatal massage for both client and baby – higher birth weights, shorter labor and delivery time, and a healthier blood pressure just to name a few!
Whether you have been pregnant or 9 days or 9 months, it’s important to let us know. There are a number of contraindications that we need to consider as your massage therapists, so even if you haven’t told your family that you’re expecting, please tell us so we can pair you with a massage therapist who is specially trained in prenatal massage!
Though those bolstering systems that allow the pregnant client to lay face down despite a large belly are well-intentioned, there have been conflicting studies about the safety of those systems. Therefore, once you “pop”, we will bolster you in a side-lying position (similar to how you sleep).
This reduces strain on the low back and round ligaments, and doesn’t compromise circulation for the client or baby, making it safer for both of you.
Please speak with your OB or midwife prior to your first prenatal massage so that we can all be in communication together when it comes to the care of you and the baby.
If you are in your 1st trimester, please call us to book this massage so we can pair you with a therapist who is specially trained in early pregnancy techniques.
Add reflexology to your massage for only $10.
Did you know that all of the major organs and systems have corresponding pressure points in the hands and feet?
Reflexology is a wonderful addition to any massage, as it supports the entire body and is ideal for those clients who may have mobility limitations and have difficulty laying face down or turning over very easily during their massage.
Most reflexology sessions last between 15 – 30 minutes, so this could easily be incorporated into any one hour (or longer) massage appointment, or as a separate session for just 30 minutes.
Beginning January 1, 2022 there will be an additional $10 charge for lymphatic massage.
A light, stimulating yet relaxing massage to encourage the proper flow of lymph. If you are feeling stagnant, sluggish, or bloated, lymphatic massage may benefit you. This modality is deeply detoxifying and boosts your body’s immune response and overall health, since it focuses primarily on the lymphatic system.
Lymphatic massage is perfect for post-surgery recovery, a health boost, or for relaxation.
Hot stones can be added to any massage for just $10.
Polished, heated river rocks are incorporated into your massage to help create a deeper and more therapeutic level of relaxation and alignment.
The application of heat (and, when needed, cold) can assist with lymphatic drainage, can more quickly break up adhesions and scar tissue in the muscle fibers, and increases circulation in otherwise-stagnant areas.
For a quick tutorial on how your therapist may use the various stones during your massage, check out our You Tube video here.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, profound, non-invasive, hands-on approach, focused on supporting the health of the whole being, especially the nervous system.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapists understand how an optimally functioning healthy nervous system performs. They are trained for years on how to use acute perception skills to perceive subtle physiological changes. They are also aware of the energetic map that underlies one‘s basic health and symptomology.
BCST therapists believe that health is never lost no matter what the ailment. They use their ability to identify the parts of the nervous system that are not functioning optimally, and the awareness of the “always available health” in the body to assist the system in bringing itself back into balance.
This supports greater ease and helps the body decrease symptoms.
Upgrade your session to a sports massage for only $10 more.
Sports massage doesn't necessarily mean "deeper". It all depends on where you're at in your training cycle!
We don't want to do too much muscle stripping if you're a day or two out from a big event -- and we want to give your muscles time to recover again before digging in to too many trigger points too. If you're several days out from competing, however, you just might find a few knuckles in your plantar fascia or an elbow in your hamstrings because your body might need deeper work!
No matter where you're at in your training cycle, your sports massage therapist will be able to customize your session uniquely to your needs.
Please bring athletic shorts and a loose fitting shirt in case you and your therapist incorporate a lot of stretching into your massage.
Your therapist will be able to customize your massage specific to your needs that day. Please take your time during check in to let us know what your goals are!
By using lighter, more general strokes such as effleurage and petrissage, a Swedish massage can increase circulation, boost the immune system, and leave you feeling deeply relaxed.
